Vintage Mirror Selfies

I’ve worn some wonderful Dark Vintage looks lately, but I temporarily disassembled my photo studio so I haven’t been able to take nice photos.  Here are some mirror selfies that I grabbed just to document the outfits until I can photograph them properly!

The first is a vintage wool knit set in navy blue that I found on eBay.  The top was missing one button at the collar, so I added a vintage faux pearl necklace I recently stole from my grandma’s stash of costume jewelry.  The earrings are actually modern Avon, and the cute ivory raffia hat (which you can barely see) is a vintage find from Etsy.

The second outfit is a pink chiffon cocktail dress.  I was watching this dress on Etsy for months, but was hesitant to buy it because it is SO pink.  Finally the seller lowered the price a couple of times, and it became too inexpensive to pass up!  I’m so glad I bought it – the cut and details are just amazing, and the fabric is exquisite.  To “darken” the look up, I added abundant dramatic black accessories and black nail polish.  I also wore a black velvet cocktail hat, which doesn’t show in the photo.

I promise to return with higher-quality studio photos soon!!

  5. Ooooh, I love the pink one! I like pink anyway, but also love the draping on the front and the ribbon sash- it’s so soft. Very pretty!

  7. That pink chiffon is divine!

  8. Holy smokes!!! Are you really wearing PINK?!? *faint* Just kidding. 😀 You look wonderful, dear friend. I just bought two vintage dresses that I’ll be wearing for my brother-in-law’s wedding festivities. I’m having a hard time with vintage sizing because I’m more of a Julia Child size, and unless her estate sells her clothing I’m always on the hunt. HA!

Good to see you back. Stop disappearing for cripes sake.

  9. So beautiful !! The first picture looks like a queen portrait!
    We miss you!

  14. I LOVE your looks, they are similar to what I would actually wear in an office setting, perhaps a bit more corporate. 🙂 You are a stunning lady!
