Rhinestones and Lace, Part 2

Yesterday’s Day to Evening transition consisted of just one very simple modification. I loved the silhouette of this outfit without a jacket, but thought the velvet blazer would be a perfect addition to this romantic look for date night. I simply added this piece to my office-friendly outfit before going out to dinner with Mr. Kitty after work.

I’ve worn the blazer on this blog before, but failed to capture the details of the lace trim I added to hide where the fabric was ripping. Yes, this was from Forever 21 (many moons ago) so it wasn’t really made to last, but I gave it new life.

Okay, maybe such a simple transition is cheating for a Day to Evening post, but sometimes things just don’t have to be complicated.  😉  If you missed the day version of this look, be sure to check it out!

  1. I love this; it might have been a simple transition, but I think, the blazer adds just enough elegance to make this look a little too dressy for work, but romantic enough for a date night. ^^

  2. Stunning! I especially love the skirt AND the jacket. And I agree with you – the transaction from day to night wear shouldn’t be complicated at all. Well done.

  3. Such beautiful long hair!

  4. Absolutely stunning, you really are elegant. Love the jacket 🙂

  5. The skirt and the jacket are perfect partners!
