Red & Black Week 2014, Day 3: Red, Black and White

Click photos for larger view.

Today, for a change of pace, our sub-theme is Red, Black and White. You don’t absolutely have to include white in today’s post if you’d rather not – it’s just a fun variation for those who wish to give it a shot. 🙂

I’ve been really, really good about not shopping too much lately. That’s quite an accomplishment for me, since buying too many clothes really is my only vice and I usually make no effort to refrain from doing so. 😉 However, I had a huge craving for some White House Black Market a few weeks ago… Instead of heading to the nearest mall with a WHBM store, I hit eBay instead. Wow, there is a huge selection of this brand available there for mostly very good prices!! I ended up scoring four cardigans and a dress. This is my favorite of the sweaters. I was excited to pair it with just a hint of a red cami peaking out, plus a garnet necklace. Red lips, nails and sparkly hair flowers carried the theme throughout the look.

  1. Aww! That cardican is lovely! It’s a relief that you put in some white in your post, as I have a forthcoming post with other colours added to the red and black 🙂

  2. Your outfits are always stunning! I love how the red is just a detail of the outfit but it makes the whole so interesting and balanced.
I must say I’m having a lot of fun participating in R&B Week.
    Much love,
    Lis

  3. Like Lis I have having a great time taking part.

You can’t beat a good cardigan. I tend to buy them over jumpers; think it’s a hangover from my days as a trainee librarian wearing men’s wool cardies.

    See you tomorrow 🙂

  4. Love that cardigan…very cute outfit, I love it with the pop of color. WHBM always has such lovely cardigans- and I think I even remember seeing that one in the stores. It sounds like you scored big time! I just bought a new LBD off their clearance rack….

  5. Oh, my, that cardigan…! It’s stunning! o.O
Needless to say, I already have a tab open for running an Ebay search for White House Black Market items…:P

  6. I LOVE LOVE LOVE your sweater! You always look so pretty and elegant in your photos!

  7. I just love that cardigan! I have never heard of that brand, guess they don’t have it here in Iowa ;3

  8. As always, you look beautiful. I may have to check out WHBH again. Their prices are a bit steep for me, but if they’re on Ebay then it’s worth another look. Cute sweater!

  9. That cardigan is a great find! I love that it has a dark aesthetic but is still wearable for the work environment.

  10. Hard to beat White House | Black Market, that store was *made* for us – but I agree, even better to find steals on eBay (I have a search setup to tell me when good stuff is available in my size).

I adore your sweater so very much! Lovely outfit, perfect for the office, perfect for this week 🙂

  11. Boy I’m running late tonight!

I love this outfit. The sweater is really nice.

  12. I think i saw that similar cardigan in our local shop but i thought that it wouldn’t work with the gothic look..but then you made this entry and i regret for not buying that cardi..

    love your outfit!!!

  14. Are those new glasses? They seem a different shape than usual. They really suit you!
