Red & Black Week 2013, Day 6: The Grand Finale

Click photos for larger view.

Welcome to the final day of Red & Black Week 2013! It’s redundant to say how much I have enjoyed this group effort (since I always do!!) but this event really does grow dearer to me each year. I’m equally delighted to see the returning participants from previous years and the new faces with blogs I hadn’t discovered before.

More gushing tomorrow when I post the event recap. πŸ˜‰ For now, on to my grand finale outfit!

Red & Black Goth Club Outfit

Yesterday’s red lace blouse of questionable quality may not have been everything I hoped it would be, but I ended up enjoying it quite a lot! It’s tough to do an entire change of wardrobe, hair and makeup after work before heading out for a night of dancing, so I figured I would use part of what I was already wearing for work that day.

Red Lace and Black PVC Corset

A simple change of skirt, tights and shoes plus the addition of my PVC buckle corset made for the perfect club outfit. For my hair, I just added a false ponytail in two seconds. That left me plenty of time to focus on fabulous nighttime makeup and some huge false lashes. πŸ˜‰

By the end of the work day, that scalloped lace neckline was even less flat than when I first put it on, so I just folded it over and fastened it with a tiny bit of fashion tape on each side. This looks cleaner and also made room for a chunky cross necklace (a club essential!).

I’m SO excited to see everyone else’s grand finale posts! Bring them on!!

  1. I love how you’ve changed around the blouse! The slit up the skirt also perfectly suits the pattern of the tights, and the corset draws the whole thing together.

Thank you for hosting Red and Black Week – it’s been a pleasure taking part. πŸ™‚

  2. oh, love that corset. I too like to have a change of looks by changing few pieces I wear. And corsets always add that needed extra charm πŸ˜€

  3. Wow that went perfect! The corset hides the bulky button row and makes the shirt even more perfect. You look beautiful!

  4. I love your skirt and your corset!! u always look lovely miss kitty πŸ˜€

  5. Great day to evening change! πŸ™‚

  6. HOORAY for the awesome corset! The shape of that corset is absolutely perfect for your figure! I really feel the need to shop for a new one myself! : )

  7. For a blouse of questionable quality, it certainly ended up looking lovely both ways you’ve worn it! Although it really is disappointing when you order something and it’s not what you were hoping for, isn’t it?

And I think I may have messed up my link – sorry, Ms. Kitty! What a lot of work I am… πŸ˜›

    • Yay! So glad you were able to get a post in today. Sorry Mr. Linky messed up your link – sometimes he misbehaves. Last year, the whole service was DOWN for nearly 12 hours right in the home stretch of Red & Black Week! ARGH! But I can’t find another service that seems any better.

  8. You are absolutely stunning and a real inspiration (and fashion icon!) to me. Where did you get your PVC corset?

  9. The difference between yesterday & today look is amazing. You look so sexy with that skirt and I love the corset !
I was unable to participate everyday but I did a long post instead. I hope the next year I will participate all along the week.

  10. Oooo, now I like this look a lot. I’ll admit, I preferred the lace blouse as a shell under your tailored jacket (or maybe a nice sweater?) but not really alone. HOWEVER, under the corset it takes on a whole new dimension. It looks awesome, particularly since it’s so soft against the PVC … and of course the velvet of the skirt just makes it so delicious. This is truly an old school outfit.

Thanks for hosting again this year, darling lady! I’m not so sure you’re going to like my entry today. πŸ˜‰

  11. My GOODNESS, you look lovely! I love the lengthening effect the V’s of your blouse and skirt create, pointing to the corset- so flattering.

  12. Awesome outfit! I wish there were more looks like this at the clubs I go to. but I also love your use of hair clip extensions (this and your bangs one from earlier this week)–perfectly blended and you can’t even tell.

  13. Wow, what a difference! o.O
I like how you mixed the different fabrics and styles, it’s such an exciting outfit. And you hair!! I spotted it in one of your previous posts too, but on these pictures, it’s even prettier, the legth suits you so much!! πŸ™‚

  14. Again, ths week was so fun to do! I hope next years will as fun than this one! Love your style on this <3 My last post was about my style and how it has changed over the past years.

  15. A stunning change from day to night. Love the way your skirt flaunts your legs (jealous? yes)

  16. Like always, you look stunning! I really love the pattern on your stockings.

  17. Oooh! I can see why you saved this look for the grand finale! πŸ˜€ You look smoking hot!

  18. Ha, this was a lot of work, but it was fun! Yay, I PARTICIPATED!!! πŸ™‚
    You look fantastic!

  19. This is a wonderful look and a great transformation from Day to Evening. Such a fantastic corset! You look great =]

  20. Thank you for letting me join in, sorry I`m late. I don`t know why my pic is not been shown?

  21. Excellent day-to-night outfit! Really makes great use of a seemingly imperfect blouse (I’d never know that it had problems :).

Thanks again for another fun red & black week, it’s one of my fave things to add to my blog!

  22. Wow nice! I’m jealous – I wish I had a blog just for red-and-black week…
