A Quick Hello, and a Reminder!

Hello, dear friends! Yes, I’m still out here in Blogland. πŸ˜‰ I’ve just been taking a little break from pretty much all non-essential Internet use for personal reasons, but I’ll be back soon with some new outfit posts! To those who entered the April Theme of Vintage, I have read (and enjoyed) all of your posts and will be stopping back by to comment this week. I wanted to save my comments for when I could give your posts my full attention, as they deserve!

Red & Black Week Coming June 2-8, 2013!

I wanted to throw out a quick reminder because I realized today that we are only a month and a half away from Sophistique Noir’s THIRD Annual Red & Black Week. I’m SO excited to share a few new things and enjoy all of the participants for year three of this fun event. For those who weren’t reading my blog back in June 2012 (what took you so long? *wink*), Red & Black Week is pretty much like my Monthly Themes but instead of lasting just one day, it runs for a full week starting the first Sunday in June, with a new Linky each day.

Check out last year’s Red & Black Week!

This year, I want to make it a little bit different by having a couple of sub-themes during the week, which I will be sure to announce well in advance so everyone can plan for it. We might even put it up for a vote, because you guys are the ones who make this event memorable, so you should get some input!

Now, go scour your closet for bits of RED to go with all of your black, or get out there and do some shopping. πŸ˜‰ Plenty of time to prepare!! Don’t want to blog about outfits? No problem – ANY topic that relates to Red & Black is very welcome. Want more details on how this event works? Check out last year’s FAQs.

Roll call – who’s planning to participate this year?

  1. Oh goodies!
    I remember last year’s hype.
I’d love to participate this year!

  2. I’m so sad that I couldn’t participate in the Vintage Monthly theme but I will definitely participate in the Red and Black Week. πŸ™‚ One suggestion for a theme on either the Monthly Theme or a sub-theme for the Red and Black Week is burlesque. I bet that one would be a lot of fun! πŸ™‚

    • Ooh, I know you will have some amazing posts, as always. Thanks for the suggestion! It does sound fun, but I’ll have to contemplate what MY contribution would be for that one! πŸ˜‰

  3. Hmmm … I’m in. I’m not sure I’ll be able to do the entire week, but I should be able to contribute to at least a few days. πŸ™‚

  4. I will of course participate this year again πŸ˜€

  5. Am working a trade expo that week but will do my best to find some wsy of getting my ref Victorian bustle jacket involved & on display …

    • Sounds like it would be a perfect piece! I do hope you’ll be able to join us. You can always do it in advance and schedule the post to launch during the week – just be sure to let me know in advance so I can add you to the Linky myself when the post comes out!

  6. If I’m not up to my ears in packing boxes by then, I’ll definitely participate! :o)

  7. Girl With A Sword

Eeee! I’ve been looking forward to this for a while. I have a few pieces that want to come play πŸ˜‰

  8. I hope to participate for at least a few days. I’m not sure I have enough red in my closet to fill a whole week though!

  9. “…weren’t reading my blog back in June 2013…” But I haven’t finished building my time machine, and that’s the future! *cries* πŸ˜‰ But I plan to participate this year and hopefully make up for my seriously bad record of blogging!! You are always so inspiring and beautiful, I have been loving catching up on your posts!

  10. ah well, this time i’ll pass. wont have internet during june i guess XD but for sure going to read what happened as soon as i am online again!
