Happy Second Annual Red & Black Week! I’ve been looking forward to this ever since last year’s inaugural event. I’ll be waiting up till after midnight tonight, like a kid waiting for Santa, to see who’s the first to post in the Linky. ;-D

I scored this polka dot wiggle dress at Macy’s last month on sale for 50% off. Technically, I was shopping for new work clothes, but this was 50% off. Admit it; you would have done the same thing.
So, to justify it as a work-related purchase, I wore this outfit to a little New Job Celebration with a couple of friends. One of our friends was having some work drama of her own, which was resolved just about the same time as I got my offer, so champagne was definitely in order!
A vintage look like this just screams for flesh-tone fishnets, doesn’t it? Of course, in the photos you can’t tell they are fishnets. Trust me, they are; and they looked fabulous in person!
In my opinion, nothing goes better with black and white polka dots than red accessories. I think this is the first time I’ve worn the “other pair” of red shoes I bought on my birthday last year. I tied the shoes in with a red hair flower adorning my ponytail, and matching lipstick.
I can’t wait to see what my fellow Goth bloggers are wearing this week to honor this much-celebrated color scheme. Let the linking begin!

I love the polka dots! I have some dots planned for later this week. And yes, I would have done the same
At 50% off how could you afford NOT to get that amazing dress?
perfect as always *__* goodness, i dont have a single polka do item?!
My first post is now done
How do you manage to always look so fabulous?
What a lovely dress, looks so stunning on you! I would wear something like that to work as well. :> I think it's not inappropriate in any way, so why not wear it in your office once you get a bit more used to the atmosphere in the new work place?
Gorgeous dress!! When I saw your post I realized I haved longed for your weekend outfits a while.
That's a beautiful dress!
I love polka dots and I love those gorgeous shoes.
Very nice combination of red and black with your fashions.
I'm finished with my post.

Heyyy… polka dots for both of us! ;-D
I love your outfit so much! I want everything as usual <3
Those shoes are fantastic!
Beautiful!
I think not purchasing such a fantastic dress while it was 50% off would be some sort of insult to the fashion gods, and possibly negatively impact your sales karma for some time to come.I love the red accessories with polka dots!
I did my first post and I am as much excited like this was a holiday or something xD
I love the dress. Polka dots are so awesome. And of course the shoes are pretty killer too! Well done as always, and thanks for creating/hosting this!
Your shoes are awesome!
I don't even like polkadots, but you made me want a dress like this right now, that's how fabulous you look! ^^
CrapCrapCrapCrap Red & Black week! I forgot!Gah, I need to get back into the blogosphere, I've been so busy it's horrible.Mrs. Kitty, you're so cute! I'm so glad I didn't miss this, & congrats on the new job
Done ! it's the first time I'm doing something like that ! hope not the last !
So cute/lovely, as always. I love those heels-I desperately miss all my heeled shoes. It's a good thing I don't have them here, as I'd probably kill myself walking up and down the Wellington hills in them, but that doesn't mean I don't miss how they make my legs look.
I love the polka dots on you-one of my favorite patterns, and you pull it off so well!
What a sweet and beautiful look! I adore polka dots! The cut and style of that dress is wonderful, sexy without being overt! Can't wait to see the rest of your red and black looks this week! And look at all these participants! Quite a popular theme!
WAHOO! *insert wolf whistle here* MEOW! You are looking damned smokin' hot!
Beautiful as always. This dress is soooooo slimming on you! I just added my post.
GORGEOUS LADY!!Let me tell you… you look sooo much younger when you show your legs!

Awesome dress!!I think Blogger died on me, I'm having trouble with my post for Day 1…. waay behind here!
Not a good start to my red and black week! Forgot I have NO red tops to wear with my black lace skirt ( I told myself I MUST wear that) and had to make do with a red ribbon in my hair. I called the look 'spot the red!'. Today is more promising, I'm wearing red trousers acsessorised with grey and black!
Va-va-voooom! You look lovely! I agree completely about red with black and white polka dots
Totally Rockabilly!ME LOVE THE SHOES ESPECIALLY! But your expression on the first pic is so playful. I love that too.
Great look! I love the rockabilly/pin-up touch
.
Cute outfit! I really like the flesh-toned fishnets!
