Mr. Kitty and I tend to hang out at the local Barnes and Noble occasionally due to a complete lack of anything else interesting to do in our immediate area. While he pours through car magazines, I flip through craft magazines. Usually paper craft magazines, but one evening a crochet issue caught my eye. While perusing it and vaguely wishing I possessed that particular skill, I saw an ad for the pattern for these gorgeous opera-length armwarmers. So naturally I called my beautiful sister, who is a mom and therefore required to know how to crochet, and somehow talked her into creating these for me.
With an immense degree of patience on her side, and after several adjustments due to my short, tiny arms (fittings were especially difficult since we live many, many miles apart), she completed this amazing masterpiece. In exchange, I made a beaded chain to hold her glasses. I definitely got the better end of that deal!
Although they are covered in holes, these armwarmers are extremely warm. I could only wear them in the evenings over the past weekend because we’re still enjoying a lovely, 85-degree Southern California fall. To those of you shoveling snow right now, I apologize.
I wore these armwarmers in a very early post on this blog, but I didn’t really pair them with much of an outfit. Hopefully most of my followers haven’t seen that previous post so these can get the grand debut they deserve.
The new boots are Demonias. But since this is Gloves/Armwarmers day and not Boots day, we’ll talk about these another time.
The November theme was suggested by Celeste of Fade to Black. Be sure to stop by Celeste’s blog and say Thank You for this idea!

Oh, I want a sister like that too! Those armwarmers are very beautiful! If they are also warm, they're certainly something I would need here. Such a gorgeous look.
I'm all linked. Those arm warmers suit you amazingly well!
Those armwarmers are very beautiful and well made. Please give your sister a compliment from me. I hope I will have some time to do a themepost within the closests days. I've had to select between these Demonian and those I bought earlier this autumn. They really look nice and especially with your outfit.
Those are lovely; you certainly got the better end of the deal! I usually don't like anything crocheted but I like those!
Those are gorgeous armwarmers! I have tried to dabble in crochet but my hands always cramp up because I have a tendency to grip things too tightly.
The armwarmers are perfect with the boots. Love them both.
I still can't believe your sister made them. I love the edging on them.
Those are FANTASTIC! I might have to beg my mom to teach me how to crochet so I can make something like that! I also love your boots-I just bought a pair of Demonia shoes yesterday as a birthday present to myself, and I can't wait to wear them.
lve the outfit. I so wanted to get in on this one but couldnt get my camera to work right for some reason. Oh well, maybe next time.
Wow, those are gorgeous arm warmers (and I am indeed surprised they are warm). I also completely love your fancy Victorian knee-boots.
Ah, these are gorgeous!!!

Those arm-warmers are stunning! They look beautiful with that outfit, they add such a lovely touch. Hehe we don't have snow here yet but we're getting there I'd say. I would definitely be wearing the outfits in my post along with a heavy coat!
Hmm after I'm done dyeing my hair I'll post something ^^
I wish I had the patience to crochet armwarmers like yours! They are beautiful and very special because thes were made only for you by somebody close. Thanks for this great theme! I loved getting busy for it.
I love those armwarmers! I can crochet a bit myself, and now I must find a similar pattern to try it! You are lucky to have such a wonderful sister to make those for you.
Who knew that croqueting could look so awesomely Goth? Love it!
Those are such beautiful armwarmers, your sister is quite talented and they look perfect on you! Love those boots also…gorgeous!

What talent! I love those arm warmers. They're so intricate and lacy. They really look like they've been laced up. I wore arm warmers yesterday. I'll get my act together and post so I can link!
Whew! I made it! It's been super crazy around here and I wanted to make sure I participated. HOLY SMOKES — I love the arm warmers. You sister is quite a talent! And let me tell you, those boots are DIVINE! WOOT WOOT!
Awesome crochet work! Why does crochet get such a bad rap? Your sister did a FANTASTIC job making them, and you put together a fabulous look (as usual)! LOVE your new boots too!
Love the arm warmers! Your sister is very talented.

Those are lovely. Unfortunately I had to give it a miss this time as I'm ill and can only use the computer for a little while each day. I'm bookmarking this post though so when I'm better I can check out everyone else's posts.
