Wow, I really have been getting out all of my Newport News things lately. Yes, this dress is from NN. It came with a bunch of ironed-on silver tone studs on the shoulders, but those had to go. Fortunately, I was able to pull them off without much residue being left behind. Seems like I’m always customizing my clothing, doesn’t it?
For a change, I thought I’d tuck a silk scarf into the neckline. I really love the look, although it didn’t want to stay in place through my 11 hour day. Maybe a bit of Fashion Tape would help, but I never seem to think of that until after the fact.
The highlight today is the silver brooch that belonged to my husband’s mother. I love wearing it, and I think it goes beautifully with this gray dress. The black scarf just highlights it even more. The bangles are slightly less meaningful, coming from H&M. 
But I was delighted by the fact that their bracelets come in two sizes! I bought the smaller size, which is a dream come true for my tiny wrists.

The "secret" to the hair style is going to bed with it still a bit damp. ;-D I wrap it up loosely in my sleep cap and end up with a few random waves in the morning.

Ohh. I LIKE this one! You make it lovely. Not something you could wear if you have even a hint of a belly! And as for the roaming scarf, I probably would have yanked it off in frustration halfway through the day!

This dress is beautiful on you! The color is stunning (one of my favorites). I think it's terrific that you can "make it work" when an article of clothing needs a bit of customizing — you're good at it!
Wow, you have simply beautiful long hair! Mine is little over shoulders and I'm already getting frustrated with it (or rather I'm getting frustrated with all the long black hairs falling out and sticking to my lip gloss, furniture, food, etc…). I would love a hair tutorial by the way! Simple, sophisticated looks for school and work please!
